Supplier price lists rarely match Shopify's import format: German column names, decimal commas, kilograms, one row per size and colour. Convert the sheet into a Shopify product CSV with variants, and see every problem by row before you import.

1 Your supplier sheet

A CSV file from your supplier or your own price list, with one row per product or variant. Comma, semicolon, tab and English or German column names (Bezeichnung, Artikelnummer, VK, EK, Farbe, Größe …) are recognised. The file is read here and never uploaded.

Runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to us or to Shopify.

What it does

  1. Recognises the columns (English and German names) and the separator.
  2. Groups rows into products by a group column or the product name; up to three option columns become Shopify variants.
  3. Normalises numbers: 19,90 and €1.234,50 become 19.90 and 1234.50; kg, lb and oz become grams. Ambiguous values are reported, not guessed silently.
  4. Checks the result against Shopify's core import rules. Products with errors are left out, so the file you import has no known errors.

Limits of this prototype

  • CSV only. Save Excel files as CSV first.
  • Automatic column detection only. Unusual column names are not recognised here; the report shows which columns were used.
  • Core rules, not a guarantee. The check covers Shopify's core import rules; your store can still reject a file, for example over limits or apps.
  • You import it yourself. Nothing connects to your store; products are created as drafts unless you choose otherwise.

Values that a spreadsheet would run as a formula (starting with =, +, - or @) are written as text with a leading apostrophe, and the report lists them.
